What Is This Site?

This site is dedicated to retro-gaming, particularly from the "casual gamer" perspective. I will provide you with step-by-step guides on installing and configuring emulators and environments for playing the old classic games, and give my own personal opinions and views on various games.

The guides are given for the Ubuntu Linux operating system, as that is my platform of choice, but typically the emulators used are multi-platform, and can be installed under Windows and Mac relatively easily.

Over the lifespan of this site, I hope to provide a comprehensive set of step-by-step how-to guides for installing and setting up various emulators under Ubuntu Linux, and now and then give reviews of old games I've come across and played.
